Governor Cuomo Getting Approval Spike in New Quinnipiac University Poll

Governor Cuomo is getting an approval spike in the new Quinnipiac University poll, including a mandate to battle President Trump.

New York State voters approve 52-to-31 percent of the job Cuomo's doing -- that's up about three points from December.

But the same 52 percent who approve of Cuomo don't want him to run for President, saying he wouldn't make a good one.

Pollster Maurice Carroll says they'd rather he battle President Trump from Albany, with 57 percent of New Yorkers surveyed saying it would be good for the state if Cuomo challenges Trump's policies.
