Violent Threats made against JCC in Rochester, Syracuse

Brighton, N.Y. - The Jewish Community Center was shut down on Tuesday after a reported bomb threat.   Police evacuated all members and staff before 6:00 a.m.  The Monroe County Sheriff's Office and Brighton Police Department are investigating.

Sixteen headstones were damaged in a Jewish cemetery in Rochester a week ago. New York State Police are investigating that case.

Several Jewish Community Centers around the country also received threats, including a JCC outside of Syracuse that went into lock down.

The Anti-Defamation League is once again the target of bomb threats. The organization's national headquarters in Manhattan tweeted around 10:15 this morning that several of its offices received threats. It did not say which offices were targeted.
