Man Charged in Deadly Greece Burglary Pleads Not Guilty

The defendant charged in a deadly burglary in Greece has pleaded not guilty.

Omar Quarles was indicted last week on two counts of second degree murder, burglary, grand larceny and criminal mischief.

He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment this morning.

Back on October 8th Greece Police were called to Maiden Lane to check the welfare of an 86-year-old Charles Fields, who was found semi-conscious in his home. He later died from a head injury.

Quarles was reportedly a family friend of Fields.
