Rochester Man Guilty in Deadly Upper Falls Shooting

One of the two suspects in a deadly shooting last year in the Upper Falls neighborhood has been found guilty.

21-year-old Timothy Brooks Junior was convicted of 2nd-degree murder, attempted robbery, and a gun crime.

Police say he and 17-year-old Raphael Marquez shot 39-year-old James Jackson Jr. several times in August of last year, as Jackson was sitting in his car on Cuba Place, off Joseph Avenue.

Brooks will be sentenced on January 8th

Marquez pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 23 years in prison.
