There's more on an exclusive Newsradio WHAM1180 story on the disappearance of funds from a Rochester account administered on behalf of four city unions.
Our Bob Lonsberry broke the story that more than $10 million has apparently vanished from an account made up of health care plan savings, money that should be held for city workers.
In a joint statement, the Firefighters Union, the Operating Engineers, AFSCME, and the Police Locust Club say the city has admitted to using funds in the joint health care account to cover health care expenses for retired employees.
The fund was meant only for active employees... and the city is working on a reimbursement plan within the next two weeks.
The unions want to make sure that the process is transparent and complies with their labor contracts.
