UPDATE: The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says the man struck and killed by an Amtrak train Monday evening was 47-year-old Nathan Derr of Franklin Street in Lyons.

One person is dead, after being hit by an Amtrak train in Wayne County.
Deputies say it happened just before 5 yesterday afternoon on tracks near Franklin Street in Lyons.
The unidentified pedestrian was dead at the scene.
None of the 141 passengers aboard the train were hurt.
