A woman is dead, after she was hit by a car on the city's northwest side this morning.
Police say she was struck by a pickup just before 7 this morning at Lexington Avenue and Colfax Street, in front of Edison Tech.
She died a short time later at Strong Hospital.
The truck's driver got out and tried to help the victim, and has not been charged.
The accident remains under investigation, but police say neither alcohol nor drugs were factors.
