A Rochester woman who was accused of stealing her dead boyfriend's Social Security benefits and hiding his body in her basement has been sentenced to 9 months in jail
Prosecutors say 64-year-old Wendy Stone obtained a replacement debit card for 66-year-old Kenneth Crisman's benefits after he died sometime in late 2022 or early 2023.
They say she poured bleach on the body to get rid of foul odors.
This latest sentence was on state charges for concealing the corpse.
She's serving a year in prison for federal identity theft, and the two sentences will run at the same time.
