The woman who died last week at the Monroe County Jail has been identified.
The Sheriff's Office says 35-year-old Abriana Pesante was found unresponsive in her cell last Thursday morning.
She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
A preliminary investigation shows Pesante had a medical issue, but the Medical Examiner's Officer is still looking into it.
Pesante was in jail for two days on several warrants at the time.
