Rochester Man Sentenced in Ex-Girlfriend's Murder

A Rochester man twice convicted in the death of his ex-girlfriend has been senteneced this morning to 25 years to life in prison

61-year-old Roger Wiggins was found guilty of 2nd-degree murder last month for killing Tracy Henton-Williams back in 2018.

Police say he stabbed Henton-Williams while they were in a car moving at 40 miles per hour -- she fell out and died of her injuries.

The state Supreme Court threw out Wiggins's original guilty plea last year, saying the trial court was wrong to deny Wiggins' motion to suppress evidence from his cellphone and his statements to police.
