Man Pleads Guilty in Controversial Rochester ICE Arrest

The man whose arrest triggered a nationwide debate over Rochester police policies and immigration raids has pleaded guilty in federal court

Wilson Oswaldo Galvin-Lopez pleaded guilty to one count of entering the country after already being a removed alien.

He was arrested in a controversial Rochester traffic stop in March, with Rochester police supporting an ICE raid .

The officers were accused by the mayor and police chief of violating the city's sanctuary policies and briefly pulled off patrol for remedial training.

That prompted border czar Tom Homan's April visit to Rochester in support of those officers.

Galvin-Lopez will likely be deported.
