Rochester Man Admits Lighting Woman on Fire

A Rochester man has admitted in court to lighting his wife on fire, and will serve 12 years in prison.

Police say 51-year-old David Johnson ignited his wife, along with their Augustine Street home, in August 2019.

He pleaded guilty to 1st-degree assault.

Johnson fled to Uganda, where he lived under a new name before his arrest last Thanksgiving.

He'll be formally sentenced in July.
