A former Avon police trainee has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and cyberstalking.
Federal prosecutors say 33-year-old Casey Medina, of Rochester was arrested after an investigation that began with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office and the FBI.
A search of his cellphone turned up 360 images of young children, including an image of a young child being subjected to violence.
Medina was also accused of posting images edited to falsely depict a victim being made to appear as if she was engaging in sexual contact.
Medina is also accused of recruiting others to send the girl messages, including threatening and harassing texts that included threats to kill or rape her.
He will be sentenced on August 4th.
