There are no arrests in the first Rochester homicide in about a month.
Police say 35-year-old Jemell Allen was shot in the upper body shortly after midnight yesterday morning on Manor Parkway, off South Avenue.
He died several hours later at Strong Hospital.
Investigators say Allen was hanging out with several others outside an apartment, when a fight broke out and someone opened fire.
Allen is unofficially the seventh homicide victim in the city so far this year.
