Doctor Eric Jay Rosser will be the new Superintendent of Rochester City Schools.
The school board tapped him to take over for interim Superintendent Demario Strickland in July.
Rosser says he's ready to work to help improve the lives of students.
Rosser comes to Rochester from Poughkeepsie schools, and has also worked in Buffalo, Atlanta, and Washington, DC schools.
He is the ninth RCSD Superintendent since 2016.
He'll reportedly make as much as $280,000 per year.
