The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says it's arrested a 17-year-old for making a terroristic threat over social media.
The threat against Fairport High School was made on October 10th and advised people to stay away from the school that day.
The sheriff's office increased patrols around the school and gave the building special attention as a result.
They say the teenager was tracked down using digital evidence.
He was arraigned in Youth Court and was sent to the Monroe County Children's Detention Center on $2,500 cash bond.
The sheriff's office says this threat had a significant impact on students, parents and staff at Fairport High and they take such cases very seriously.
