The man charged with kidnapping his five-year-old child early yesterday was arraigned in Rochester City Court.
25-year-old Malik Breedlove is charged with kidnapping, burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
He also faces two outstanding warrants from Rochester City Court.
Bail was set at $40,000.
Breedlove allegedly went to his former girlfriend's home on Fifth Street and threw rocks at the windows until his ex opened the door.
He then forced his way in with a .45 caliber pistol and grabbed his son, before firing a shot through the door as people tried to stop him.
He was quickly caught by police who returned the unharmed child to its mother.
