The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says a home invasion in Clyde has left a man dead.
They say 47-year-old Jeffrey Smith of Waterloo broke into the home last night with a metal pipe on West Genesee Street, and fought with the home's 67-year-old owner.
Both went to the hospital, where Smith later died.
The homeowner was treated for a head injury and released.
