A prominent member of the Brighton community is confirmed dead in an apparent accident at a Lyell Avenue gas station.
Police say 53-year-old Michael Davis was working in a manhole when he was struck by a car late Saturday morning.
Davis was the longtime owner of Twelve Corners Mobile.
The driver is cooperating with police, and no charges have been filed.
Police don't believe the driver was high or drunk at the time.
