A Wheatland-Chili substitute teacher is accused of improperly touching several elementary school students.

A Monroe County grand jury has indicted 40-year-old Robert Petit on 11 counts of sexual abuse and 6 counts of child endangerment.

Deputies say three elementary students told school officials Petit touched them inappropriately, outside their clothing, in March.

Petit is being held on $500,000 bail.

Deputies are asking anyone with information on Petit to call 911.
