The Rochester City School District has named an interim superintendent.
Current Deputy Superintendent Demario Strickland is the pick to head the district once current Superintendent Carmine Peluso leaves at the end of next month to head up Churchville-Chili schools.
Strickland has been with RCSD since 2021.
Prior to that, he had stints in Buffalo and New York City public schools.
There's no timeline yet for the school board to choose a permanent superintendent.
They have said previously the interim superintendent would be a candidate.
