Five young people have been detained, after allegedly hitting a Rochester police officer with a stolen car.
Police say it happened just before 5 this morning on South Goodman Street.
The officer is at the hospital but is expected to recover.
The striking of the officer touched off a 20-minute pursuit that ended when the stolen Kia crashed into a home on Emerson Street.
The suspects range in age from 12 to 17.
There's no word on which charges they face.
Nearby roads were closed for a time, but are now open.
