The man found guilty in a Wayne County robbery and murder will serve 25 years to life in prison.
49-year-old Michael Robinson was convicted of 2nd-degree murder and 1st-degree robbery in December.
Prosecutors say he stabbed 52-year-old Torey Mathis to death at House’s Hotel on Route 31 in Arcadia in June 2021.
Police discovered Mathis's body during a welfare check.
Robinson wasn't charged with the murder until March of last year.
