Former Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren is planning a political comeback.
She is running for City Court Judge and has begun passing petitions to get on the Democratic primary ballot in June.
She expects there will be a retirement on the court, creating an open seat.
Warren has been out of office since 2021, when she lost a primary for a third term as mayor, then resigned months later as part of a plea deal involving campaign finance violations.
The plea deal downgraded the charges from felonies to misdemeanors, allowing her to keep her law license.
