UPDATE 2/29 12:55PM: Charges have been filed against the man who caused lockdown at the St. John Fisher University campus.
19-year-old Shalom Mathews has been charged with attempted sex abuse and attempted kidnapping.
Court papers say Mathews tried to kidnap an employee at knifepoint yesterday afternoon.
He also allegedly intended to tie up the victim and rape her.
The employee was able to disarm Mathews, lock her office door, and call 911.
Mathews was a commuter student at the school.
He's being held without bail.
UPDATE 2/29: The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says it has a man in custody whom they say caused a lockdown at the St. John Fisher University campus.
It happened late yesterday afternoon when the man tried to stab a staff member.
Bob Lonsberry reports the man apparently is a student, and the staff member is believed to be a teacher.
UPDATE: The lockout has been lifted at Saint John Fisher University.
There's no word on whether the student has been detained.

Saint John Fisher University is on lockdown due to a police investigation.
Law enforcement sources tell our Bob Lonsberry a student tried to stab a staff member.
The staffer was not hurt, and the knife has been recovered.
The search for the student is ongoing.

Earlier this evening, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a distressed individual who entered the School of Pharmacy building and approached an employee with a knife. The employee was able to leave the area unharmed, the individual fled the scene, and police recovered the knife.
Law enforcement has determined that there is no imminent threat. However, there is still a police presence on campus as they continue with their investigation.
We are grateful to our law enforcement partners and all on campus who responded immediately to ensure a safe outcome.
