Rochester police have released the name of the man shot and killed Saturday evening at Avenue D and Bauman Street.
Twenty-eight-year-old city resident Julien Walthour was found shot in a car stopped in the road.
He was given first aid but died a short time later.
Police have made no arrests.
2023 finished with 58 homicide victims in the city.
