A Rochester man has died in a New Year's Eve tractor-trailer crash in Oneida County.
Deputies say 46-year-old Getachew Mengesha was driving his rig on State Route 8 in Bridgewater, just south of Utica, early Sunday morning.
He then lost control while going around a curve.
The truck hit a tree, a guardrail, and an embankment, before it came to rest in a creek.
Mengesha was dead at the scene.
