UPDATE: RIT student Matthew Grant has put out a statement through his family thanking the people who helped search for him.

He says, "It's hard to understand just how much support you will have, regardless of how you are doing personally. I am doing much better now that I am reunited with my family."

Grant showed up at a Pennsylvania police station near the Appalachian Trial yesterday and called his parents, who had been looking for him since before Thanksgiving.

His parents were already searching for him about 30 miles away and were reunited with him last night.
