Authorities are trying to determine what caused a fire that killed a squatter in a boarded-up home.
It broke out around 7 a.m. on Fulton Avenue in the Edgerton neighborhood.
Crews put out the fire and found the body inside.
Police investigators say it appears the fire was started inside and the man unsuccessfully tried to escape.
It's unclear if the man set the fire, or how it started.
