UPDATE: Former Pulaski Library Bldg. Will Be Razed After Fire

UPDATE: A Rochester landmark building will have to be knocked down, after a fire this morning.

There's no word so far on the cause of the fire that heavily damaged the vacant Pulaski Library building on Hudson Avenue.

City officials say the building poses a significant danger and will have to be razed.

Rochester firefighters say it took nearly two hours to put out a two-alarm fire at the vacant Pulaski Library building on Hudson Avenue.

It was reported around 5:30 this morning.

The first crews on the scene found heavy smoke and flames from the two-story building.

Commanders ordered an exterior attack.

No one was hurt, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
