The search for a missing Rochester teen has turned into a murder investigation.
Police say a body found Saturday on Vanguard Parkway, near Emerson Street, has been identified as that of 16-year-old Jakarah Lopez-Moore.
Investigators don't know how long the body had been there, but say it had decomposed significantly.
Lopez-Moore had not been seen since leaving her Weld Street home early in the morning on August 27th.
Her death has been ruled a homicide, but police won't reveal how she died.
RPD is asking you to call 911 if you saw or had contact with the girl since she disappeared.
