Rochester firefighters were called out to battle a blaze on the city's south side this morning.
It broke out shortly after 8:30 on South Goodman Street.
A neighbor saw smoke coming from the house and called 911.
No one was home at the time, but a dog was killed in the fire.
No injuries were reported.
There's no word yet on the cause.
