Bodycam footage has now been released in the shooting by a Rochester police officer Monday night.
It shows a struggle between the still-unnamed suspect and the officer, with several shots fired.
One of the shots struck the suspect in the jaw.
He remains in stable condition.
Police say the suspect has a conviction record and was wanted on a recent warrant.
The officer was hurt in the struggle but is out of the hospital.
