The Rochester city school board has voted to post six uniformed city police officers outside some schools at arrival and dismissal times.
Superintendent Carmine Peluso says the police presence will cost the district $848,000 -- but he says it's worth it, if it helps keep students safe.
The district has not specified which schools will get the officers.
