Retired WHAM-1180 sportscaster Bob Matthews is being inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
He is one of five inductees this year from across the state.
Matthews has been a Rochester sports writer and commetator for more than 35 years.
He's the only person selected to be the Press/Radio Club's Sportswriter of the year five times...and Sportscaster of the year three times.
He was also a pioneer inductee into the Rochester Frontier Field Walk of Fame for his role in helping keep the Red Wings in Rochester.
