A Webster man has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for a 2019 murder.
Piero Scala was convicted of 2nd-degree murder and possession of stolen property.
Prosecutors say Scala knifed 56-year-old Cathy O’Brien to death at her Oakdale Drive home in October 2019.
Scala was described as a family friend of O'Brien's, but authorities say Scala was caught on camera trying to pawn items he had stolen from O'Brien after he killed her.
