Federal prosecutors have charged a Rochester man with stealing a set of mailbox keys from a U.S. Postal Service letter carrier.
They say 37-year-old Tenaj Quamell Carr after allegedly robbing the postal carrier on Parsells Avenue, then fleeing on a bicycle.
The incident happened on May 23rd.
Police visited Carr's home and spoke to his father, who persuaded his son to return the keys.
A warrant was issued for Carr's arrest and he was taken into custody earlier this week.
Carr has been arraigned and released on conditions including electronic monitoring.
