A Rochester firefighter is facing a federal child pornography charge.
Prosecutors say 31-year-old Brett Marrapese of Irondequoit posed as a teen boy, and solicited illicit photos and videos from teen girls on Instagram.
Investigators searched Engine Number 3 on Emerson Street last week, as well as Marrapese's home, vehicle, camper, and cellphone.
Marrapese is being held pending a detention hearing, and is suspended from his job pending the results of the investigation.
A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was traced back to an internet address linked to the RFD, and that led them to Marrapese.
