UPDATE: The victim of yesterday's homicide in Charlotte has been identified as 30-year-old Dante Edwards-Morrison.
Police say he walked to a home on Harding Road and confronted his children's mother and some others.
An argument then escalated into a fight, and Dante Edwards-Morrison was hit by a single shot to the torso.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man was detained, but so far, no charges have been filed.

Rochester police say a man was shot shortly after noon today on Harding Road, off Lake Avenue.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man was taken into custody.
It's the 21st homicide in Rochester so far this year.
