The victim of yesterday afternoon's shooting at a Dewey Avenue parking lot has died.
Police say 21-year-old Eric Martin was dropping a family member off at work at Dewey and Magee Avenues, when a passenger in another car traveling north on Dewey Avenue leaned out and shot Martin as the car passed.
He fired more than a dozen shots, at least one of which hit and fatally wounded Martin.
He died just after 3:00 this afternoon at the hospital, about 24 hours after he was shot.
Police say they don't know if Martin was the intended target or if he was hit by a stray bullet.
No arrest has been made so far.
