UPDATE: The Ontario County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who was struck by two vehicles and killed in Geneva as 45-year-old Joel Mercado of Geneva.

Authorities are investigating the traffic death of a pedestrian in Geneva.
It happened shortly before 9 last night on Route 14, south of Packwood Road.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says a man was wearing dark clothing, and standing in the road, when he was struck -- first by an SUV, then by a sedan.
He died at the scene.
His name has been withheld.
