An Ogden woman has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, for allegedly helping her brother hide her stepfather's body.
47-year-old Dawn Mitchel pleaded guilty to obstructing governmental administration.
Prosecutors say she helped Lance Mitchel dispose of Bill Mason's body in a fire pit in May 2021.
She had originally been charged with evidence tampering and concealing a corpse.
Lance Mitchel pleaded guilty to manslaughter last month, admitting to snapping Mason's neck because Mason wouldn't let him see his mother when she was taken off life support in the hospital.
