Rochester Police Release Report on the March 5th Main St Armory Stampede

Rochester police have released an investigator's report that answers more questions about the stampede that killed three women March 5 at the Main Street Armory.

The Armory had a licensed capacity of 5,000, and the general manager told police the crowd size was estimated at 3,900.

Security included a police sergeant and seven officers outside, and a private team hired by the Armory consisting of ten to 15 members.

Witnesses reported seeing all the front doors open when the crowd was leaving. But security reported as many as 200 people pressed to get INSIDE as the crowd was trying to leave.

And the report says there is no security camera video of the stampede.

Police and prosecutors are not bringing any criminal charges against the former Armory owner.
