If you have questions about RG&E's smart meters, you can get some answers at an open house tonight.
The utility has begun installing the smart electric and gas meters in the the Rochester region -- beginning with Greece, Henrietta and part of Rochester.
It will take close to three years to finish the installations in the five area counties
RG&E says the meters will provide accurate data for billing. Customers who opt out will have to pay more than $11 each month to cover the cost of manual meter reading.
The open house is set for for 5 p.m. at the Greece Town Hall.
