Governor Hochul is not ruling out the possibility she and legislative leaders will miss the new budget deadline.
That could mean another temporary spending bill will be needed Monday to allow the state to pay its bills while budget negotiations drag on.
The budget was due April 1.
The budget deliberations have been stalled over changes to bail reform, the governor's housing construction plan, the minimum wage and climate regulations.
