City Votes to Pay for Upgrades to the Peace Village Homeless Camp

The Rochester City Council has voted to buy 15 insulated shelters, a bathroom, and a community space, for the Peace Village homeless camp.

The vote was 8 to 1 to pay for the structures with $750,000 in unspent funds from the Police Accountability Board budget.

It will likely take two months for the shelters to arrive from the supplier. Each will have two beds.
