The Rochester City Council is scheduled to vote tonight on a plan to provide more comfortable facilities at the city's Peace Village homeless camp.
If approved, the city would spend $750,000 on 15 insulated shelters, a community room, and a permanent bathroom at the encampment on Industrial Street. .
$460,000 would be spent for the buildings. A non-profit will get $290,000 to oversee the project.
The money would come from unspent funds in the Police Accountability Board budget.
