Governor Hochul is proposing expanding abortion access at the state's public university campuses.
Her plan would ensure all campuses in the SUNY and City University systems either offer medication abortion at their campus health facilities or establish a relationship with a local reproductive health care provider to refer students for abortion services.
Meantime, the governor also is proposing that pharmacists be allowed to directly prescribe birth control pills
