Federal prosecutors have charged a Greece man with producing, receiving and possessing child porn.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Rochester was tipped off by Yahoo that a user had uploaded child porn files.
New York State Police followed the trail to 27-year-old Jason Lane, a former Greece Police recruit who had been fired after his probationary period.
The files appeared to have been taken at a childcare facility in the Rochester area and at Spencerport High School where Lane was once a security guard.
Raids on homes in Brighton and in Greece recovered a phone with files showing child porn and child erotica.
