A registered sex offender has been arraigned for the sexual assault and beating death of a 65-year-old woman.
Mary Simzer was found dead September 24th in an alley off North Plymouth Avenue.
Police say she died from blunt force trauma.
Suspect Ronald Lagasse was arrested on a murder charge.
His record includes a 1997 rape conviction .
